Restore Small Group Serves at Park Hill School District Clothing Closet

This information comes to us from Brandon, a Leadership Resident at Restore. Last Tuesday, members of my small group assisted the Park Hill School District's clothing closet from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. The clothing closet is made available for any child within the Park Hill School District and is open the first and third Tuesday of each month from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. The main tasks that the three of us did was to sort and put children's socks and undergarments into specific clothing bags for each child. It was really neat to serve alongside the school district and see what a wonderful service they provide to the students of the entire school district.

Small Group Reachout Activity

Here's a story of one Restore Community Church small group doing their own Reachout activity: 

"I'm attaching a picture from our small group Reachout activity a few weeks ago. We took dinner to the fire station on Barry Road and the kids all got to tour the station and fire truck. We all had a great time and the firefighters appreciated the meal. After delivering the meal, the small group came to our house and played games. Safe to say, it was a really fun evening!"
 
We want to encourage all of our small groups that they can serve as a group in a number of ways. You can serve at a Restore organized event such as Servefest or Replenish. You can serve with some of our partner organizations. Finally, you can come up with ideas on your own. There's no one way to serve. It's all good!
