I am really overwhelmed by this painting by Jan Brueghal. It's called Christ Preaching at the Seaport, circa 1598. Brueghel, a Flemish painter working during the High Renaissance, depicts the events of Matthew 13:1-9 and Mark 4:1-9, the Parable of the Sower.
Try to find a way to enlarge the image because it's hard to see Jesus in the center of the painting. He's got his arms open wearing the most subtle of halos. Notice the sunlight cascading through the dark storm clouds. As Christ speaks, it engulfs the people gathered to hear him tell the parable.
